Viking's Version 4.50 of VDE, VDE+Images and ImagEntry is available. This release contains substantial changes to the user interface, as well as development and supervisory tools, which will further enhance the ease of use and functional capabilities of our software products. Enhancements include:

Larger user IDs and passwords (16 characters).
Support for Shifted/Tab as a function key.
Automatic upper/lower case translation based on character set assignment.
Added Update Function to Sequential Table Maintenance utility.

“Pause” Function for elapsed time clock.
Increased data paths in option file (from 32 to 100 characters).
Field name support in option file balancing.
Additional constants for automatic plugging into fields (operator ID / name, batch# / name).
Expanded Crossfoot error message with ability to position balance value in the message.

ImagEntry

Improved Administrator Utility (ability to back up through records, batch restage option).
“Pause” Function for elapsed time clock.
Improved Class Definer and Class Options utilities.

Painter

Ability to view dup buffer list from field definition dialog.
Ability to advance and back up through field definitions.
Periodic save of form set to disk.

Miscellaneous

Improved sequential table utility.
Improved command-line database table loader utility.
Added range test capability to INCRMENT field edit.
Added APO/FPO codes to POCODES field edit.
New Date comparison field edit (DATECOMP).
